Bowel and Bladder Movements:Travel to India

I am traveling to India with my 9 month old son for 2 months. I was wondering if I can get Pampers diapers in India or will I need local brands? How good are the diapers there. I will be travelling to Mumbai, Pune and Jamshedpur and was wondering if I need to take all the diapers from here???

Hi Mona
as mandeep told u..Pampers in India are not as good as Pampers from Dubai. n d good news is Pampers from Dubai r available in babyshops... but if u r money savvy then.. note that d prices r more in india... usually i buy Pampers from dubai whenever i m in india. n my frnds r used to carry d stock with them.

hi mona
Pampers from Dubai r good as they r same what we get here (USA/UK) n dont give sore bums to babies as the indian pampers do. I have been told by my friends who has recently been to india.we r also going to india for a month n takeing all the stock from here rest up to u if u can n have space to take them then it will be good, my sister in law went to india with her baby from USA n took nappies from there this was 4 years ago.

Thanks Mandeep. I do plan to take as many nappies as I can fit with me. I will also be taking an ample supply of formula. I am worried about everything - from mosquitoes to the drinking water as I hear lots of babies get stomach issues there. I am keeping my fingers crossed especially as I am travelling with my baby for the first time:(

RE:Baby cries while passing urine - Hetal pls advice
At the same time the child is feeling some pain So try to understand and consult a doctor.... - sharmasanvi [View Message]
RE:bowel movement in 2 week old infant
Some babies go through phases when they either can't use the muscles to empty their bowels or they "forget how to". In that case, it's safest keep using the suppositories daily to make them do a dirty in 5 minutes.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:where can I get laxative?
You can get either glycerin or bisacodyl suppositories in any Indian pharmacy - I recommend saving money by not buying child-size ones, instead cutting adult supps in half to make a child-size dosage.
(I have a daughter with long-term bowel issues: she can't "do" without them!)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:constipation
When the baby is in discomfort from constipation (especially if she hasn't done some dirty for two days or more), the first thing you should give is a glycerin suppository.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:hi
Most doctors say banana doesn't help - the potassium in it makes constipation worse. Remember you can make your own prune puree in a blender. Grape, grapefruit and papaya are also laxative fruits. And remember you can safely use baby suppositories as often as you need to (they also help with "training" the baby to do a dirty at the same time every day)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:Baby Movements/Development
Consult a good doctor immediately as this should not be ignored as it will cause a big issue if you let it go now, please seek doctors advice on immediate basis.... - Aditi [View Message]
RE:Baby Movements/Development
Hi there please be calm and relax as it happens sometime the child takes little time to start walking or crawling also but in your case the child should have started crawling if not walking.... - Anita [View Message]
