Name: Trouble sleeping and gaining weight

Hi,
I am new to this group and i am from houston, tx. I have a 8month old and she is having a tough time gaining weight and does not sleep much either. She weighs only 12pounds and 13ounces now. She was 6pounds and 11 ounces when she was born. And she does not sleep through the night either and does not sleep much through the day. Please help me.

My lil one was the same at 8 months. she's 10 months old now. sleeps twice in the day and through the night as well.

At this stage, they are beginning to see things, feel them and are easily stimulated by the environment. Establish a sleep routine, like a body-wash, milk, play-time and bed. That should tire them enough to sleep. also, i hum a tune to her .. this tune is only for sleep-time. so she knows when this tune is hum, it must be bed-time. She weighs 8.25 kgs which is quite less but her doc says as long as she is happy and plyaful.. it shouldn't be a problem.

And night sleeps good with ocassional wakign up but doesnt have anything. Her ped says she is fine. Dont at all bother abt weight he says. Some babies are fine. let me know your comments

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
