Hi all,

We where trying to find a good IVF clinic for quite sometime and ended up with one in chennai but my recent blood report shows high FSH (15 mUI). Couple of months back and 6 months back it was around 12 and 9 respectively. Not sure how this will impact our IVF procedure.

Anybody have come across simillar situation of higher FSH & IVF and got succeded? I' m very confused and depressed. Thinking if any homeo or accupunture helps me to succeded IVF?

semi semi replied. High FSH means your body is pumping more FSH (hormone to stimulate eggs ) in body since your overies are not working well with regular or normal FSH level. This condition usually occurs after age 40 where your harmone level starts going down and overian reserve is less. High FSH also means that you have low overian reserve and quality of egg is probably not very good. This is very much a fact if you are around 40 in age. But if you are less than 35 or 40 than having the high FSH is not normal and a condition indicating low overian reserve or sometime pre mature overian failure. Your FSH is high but still little high than the border line. Border line is 10. So if you are less than 40 or 35 than you still have chance for successful ivf and pregency. There are many more women who have achieved their pregencies even after having HIGH FSH. Hope it helps

Devi, I don' t have personal experience with high fsh but i have a freind who had her fsh 12 and actualy it was fluctuating with time to time but she did get pregnant with IVF and has a lovely baby girl now..am on another message board where i see ladies having successful pregnancies all the time..but accupunctures are the best way to lower it ,so find a good accupuncturist and have the treatment atleast 2 months before you try the ivf and be confinent ..Wish you success and take care..
