it is absolutely normal to have some abdominal pain for first 12 weeks .. it may also continue later .. the uterus will be expanding at this time and hence the pain.. however, chances of an ectopic pregnancy & miscarriage are more during first 12 weeks.. so do contact your doc immediately if the pain is severe in lower abdomen.. ectopic preg. is nothing but the embryo is still in the fallopian tube and has not yet been implanted in the uterus properly.. once it is implanted in uterus , chances of ectopic are very less/none.

Tell Me Your Story.
Dear All,

I'm Dr. Meghna Bharath. I'm a strong proponent of Natural Birthing.

In the run-up to becoming a Mom myself, I prepared for Natural birth and delivered naturally. Recently I encouraged and supported my younger sister and close friends deliver naturally as well [through remote advice, since we were across a 10-hour timezone :)].
