I am about eight weeks pregnant and am desperately searching for a good ob/gyn preferably in Jehangir hospital. How is Dr. Manjiri Kulkarni? Is she an obstetrician as well as a Gyn? Would anyone know where her clinic/contact numbers are?

I have heard Dr. Unni is good -but I believe she is very curt and matter of fact and I think I need someone to be reassuring and do a little hand-holding. Any feedback?

I believe there is one Dr. Vandana Kataria as well - has anyone had any experience with her? I am unable to get any information on her at all.

Thanks in anticipation Kusum replied. .BANDANA KHANIJO is one of the worst doctor I have ever met in my life.first, she speaks very rude and asks questions like a police officer interrogating to a criminal. Second, she does not hear to patients.she expects patients to immediately answer to her question. Third, she asks questions in medical terms which we don't remember at times. I visited her at Apollo clinic in vimannagar.lastly, she is more money minded.
I got my consultation charges refunded as I could not tolerate her attitude and behaviour. BabyLover replied. Personally I have a very bad experience with Dr. Vandana Khanjo. She is very rude & don' t know how to emotionally support there patients. I strongly suggest not to visit this doctor.

She is very humble and amicable.I just love her...She helped delivering my baby in dec 2009.
She will answer all ur queries without any issues.

Yes, you are right. Dr. Unni is VERY GOOD. Yes, she is frank and too the point. But she is only curt when you do not take care of yourself or the baby (which I think is fine). She helped me deliver my baby. He was under trauma (meconium ingestion, plus his heart rate dropped), but she still ensured that I had a normal delivery. That' s the thing about her. She will fight to ensure that you have a normal delivery and will only perform a cesarian if there is no other option.

She was strict and firm with me throughout the pregnancy. I dared not miss an appointment with her, but that ensured a healthy pregnancy for me. But, after baby was born, he was in the NICU for 4 days, and I was sad... She was a different person that day when she came to check on me. She was really kind and reassuring.
