Hi,

In a recent blood test found out that my thyroid anibody (Thyroid Peroxidase antobody-TpoAb) is high as 134... but my thyroid levels for TSH, T3 and T4 are normal..I had two mscarriages and now i am suspecting that the miscarriages might be because of this thyroid antibody.. I have a doctor' s appointment soon.. But it would be great if anyone could go through this tell me their experience? Can we try to concive while on thyroid treatment? or should i wait till my thyroid level get back to normal? Please help me.

Thanks.

I am not an expert of thyroid disease but as long as your thyroid count isnt too far out of normal ranges TTC shouldn' t be a problem. You are correct in saying that miscarriage can be caused by a thyroid condition and you are certainly on the right track talking with your doc before making any decisions. I hope your appointment with the doc will be able tp provide you with all the answers you need... All the best

But then my sister went to various fertil... - Lillian [View Message]

Hey! I hope you are doing well. Miscarriages are a terrible thing that can happen to a family. It is like your dream of having a child and the next moment it is all gone. There are various reasons why miscarriages happen. But I do not think that miscarriages should affect the relationship. It is the responsibility of the husband to understand that no one is at fault. Hey Richa, hope you are doing well. I am sorry to hear about it.I know what you have gone through. Toughest period is when one is TTC.The worst part is the miscarriages and 3 of them makes it even more hard to cope with. I agree with your husband and would advice you to take a break also.
