its ok to to do

hi,
its absolutely ok to express breast milk. i understand how your wif e may feel when she is full but thebaby is not ready to feed.
itsbest to use a breast pump,so that the baby gets the milk. also the more you pump out, the better flow you get. i don't say to throw away the milk but to pump it out in feeding bottle and refridgerate it.

it no way is wise to do so until she has a valid reason.

it is advisable in case she is having any prob while feeding --- like sore nipples, inverted nipples, or incorrect feeding position or the like. or in case she doesn't want to feed the baby out of the concern that she might have sagging breasts or will lose her figure (totally absurd and shocking :-|) tell her that all this is a myth. infact as per the information on the net, she'll regain her figure sooner if she feeds the baby. also, feeding her baby will give her immense feeling of satisfaction and motherhood. she shd rather feel honoured that the god has gifted her with motherhood that so many other unfortunate women are deprived of. expressing milk has a drawback also that she'll have to maintain absolute hygiene and it may affect the hardness of her breasts as well.

in case of a genuine prob, see ur gyn/obs for further suggestions.

it's ok

It's ok to express the breast milk and then feed the baby. Also you can get the breast pumps with which you can express and even store the milk in Fridge for later use.
