As I have crossed my DD 2 days back but doc asked me to wait for 2 weeks..and as per doc consultation too i can try castor oil if i want to. Im 1 cm dilated and effacement is somewhere 40-50 % as per doc visit on 10th. and i feel contractions after a long walk evry day but they are never strong enough. today since morning i'm feel the contractions...but not unbearable strength. Baby movement is also decreased a lot..i have NST on coming monday, same day i have appnt with the doc also.

So Pls suggest me according to my situation that when shld i have castor oil and and how to take it...and in how much amount.
doc told me that i can take when i feel contractions...but i forgot to ask how much and how to take???

i heard the amnt from 1 Tspn to 4oz...some suggested me 1 Tbsp some suggested me around 4oz
so give me ur suggestion...!!

Yups...archie...i understand and not much anxious abt takeing castor oil...but i just wanted to know before time just in case i had to...

Hoping labor will come naturally..thanks anyways... :))

my feeling is long walks say 2 miles at a stretch will get you more BHC and eventually help furhter effacement and may be some dilation. If you do continue with walks and intercourse there are high chances of you entering in labor on your own than taking help of Castor oil.

Let the oil be last resort, I don't recommend that since you are already making some progress. I suggest that to those who are facing trouble with their bowel movements. If you have them normal then less likely castor oil will help.

it's your choice on when to take. you are ready to take by my opinion. Keep it relaxed and don't get too anxious about labor or postdate. I been there and I know how you feel but I was confident that I will be in labor before scheduled induction and that's what happened in my case.

I have been visiting site and finally cld see posts. Rhea is doing good.Pretty active like other kids.she sings whole abc song and counts 1to 6 (her bro' s impact)
