i'm due on oct 26th.i live in US.my problem is i dont have my mother.my inlaws are not keeping good health.so i cannot get them here too.but i have an aunt & uncle( my dad's sister & her husband) who are free enough to come here.so i would like to know if we can sponser for them or not?is it only they give visa for guy's & girl's parents or we can get our aunt too.kindly reply.its urgent !!! archie replied. some additional insights:

my comments might not be of great help but just wanted to let you know that now a days obtaining visa interview date is quite tought. I was trying for my own mother and my SIL but they would not get a date six months before from the date of application.

Yes, as said by SK and Preeti there should be no problem for relatives to get visa as long as they state visit is tourism and social and not for some baby sitting type of family duties.

Typically parents/relatives get a tourist visa to come to US. It does not matter how they are related because the reason of their visit has to be stated as travel and not taking care of pregnant daughter/family member.
If one can get a visa date with all the paper work together on time anybody can come.
Check the US embassy website closest to your uncle-aunt's hometown for details on visa date availability.

Yes, you can sponsor your relatives if you want.

My hubby and I are sponsoring his chachi (his dad's brother's wife) and she got her visa easily. In the interview she said that she was coming here for tourism purposes to her nephew's place. The visa official was particular about all the financial docs but otherwise no questions on \" why visit a nephew\" etc were raised.
