Now from past 3 days my breastmilk production has reduced , i have to give formula milk after each feed of breastmilk . I feel reallly sad because of this , with my 1st child , i breastfeeded him till he was 3 months old , but with this baby , im scared i might not able to breastfeed more than a month . Someone pls advice me ...

Hi Sanjana,
I am from July board and happen to read ur post. Inorder to increase milk production drink lots of water and increase your calorie intake. Incorporate nuts in your diet , you need at least 500 extra calories...also if u r in India then u can tr y some Ayurvedic preparations only after consulting with your doctor...
Take care,
Ishi

To increase milk supply you can eat fenugreek seeds, garlic, plenty of liquids(water, apple juice etc...) wil help.
Tummy time I think we can start between 3 to 4 months. Any way I am not exactly sure about this. Will post as soon as I get some info on tummy time.

Have a great time with your lil one

Take care

Yes even as a 2nd time mother, I am still having the same problem. But to aviod low milk problem. What we can do is every feeding let the baby latch then pump for 5 to 10 mins. Then give formula again in bottle to baby. If you do like this...in about 2 weeks your milk supply will increase and you and baby are going to be fine.

When I had the same problem with my first daughter...I did like this and my milk production increased...I gave milk to my first daughter for 7 months.

I am again doing the same way. May be its lil more work for couple of weeks. But later you will enjoy. Hope this will help you.

TTUL

Anita
