What type of exercises are best n pregnancy? Can exercises help prevent unnecessary weight gain in pregnancy?

Any basic exercise that will not strain your back or stomach will do and also only basic and nothing that will affect the baby. Small walks outside or in your house will also do but don't worry about the weight you can lose it after delivery.

A little weight gain is necessary in pregnancy and it is healthy for you and the baby. But if you want to stay fit you can do basic yoga and go for walks in the evening but do the exercise that wont lead to any strain on baby's health.

Hi dear.The exercises depend on the stage of pregnancy you are in and also if there is any associated condition or problem alongwith it.But generally simple breathing exercises,back strengthening exercises,elevation of the leg when lying down for around 30 minutes to avoid any swelling,Kegel' s(contracting the muscles of pelvic floor) exercises are recommmended.These are recommended so as to avoid the back problems,leg swelling and urine leakage problems seen later some in the later stages of pregnancy while some after delivery.
