Due Date Club September 2007:Turning in bed?
2007-06-04
Name: Sweety

Hi,

I usually sleep by the left side. Recently I heard from my mom that when we turn from one side to other, we need to sit up and then turn to the other side.

Did anyone hear of this before? Is there any scientific reasoning behind this?

Please let me know your views.

Luv,
Sweety.

I don' t think its a right thing to do. Afterall, v can' t b punished in such a way 4 being pregnant.
U can' t run, u can' t jump, u can' t travel, etc. these all things r right to some extent. But if one says, u can' t sleep even, this is a height i guess.
I feel unless our doctor gives such advice v shud not believe in these things, afterall there hv 2 b some logic behind everything.
I sorry! but i wan' t 2 share one thing wid all of u.
I don' t know y, every lady thry 2 advice in her own way & v start feeling d same way.
Y can' t v believe ourself.
u know wat, 1 lady told me dat u shud not sleep on ur left side as heart of the baby is on dat side.
Wud u beleive this.
d other 1 told me if u feel pain in ur abdomen then u shud sleep straight on ur back.
whereas both d above advices hv been proved wrong by my doc, & she advised me not 2 pay attention on such advices.
Ur doc know ur baby & u better then anyone else.
Even she knows u better then urself.
So, take care & enjoy ur pregnancy & listen to all but follow the advice of ur doc only.
be happy & take care
Maanya
