I was not aware of the many health benefits of raisins until recently when I read an article on it. It is one of the healthiest and must have dried fruits. It is high in fiber and without fat and cholesterol. It is rich in fructose so provides quick energy. It is a great snacking option for kids who are into junk foods and colas.

I agree with you. Many people are not aware of the health benefits of this humble dried fruit. I have made sure that my kids get their daily dose of raisins to reap in the benefits. It is rich in iron so good for anemia prevention. It is a good substitute for sweets and candy bars. But I also feel that excessive consumption of raisins is not good for health.
