Hi! I need some information and im hoping to get it here. We already have 1 natural child. Due to some medical complications i cant have another one. However weve always wanted 2 children and so Were thinking of adopting our second child.
But we dont know if its allowed legally in India. Can someone please tell me if were allowed to adopt a child when we already have a
natural one or refer me to someone who can provide this information?

firstly, please change your terminology to biological child.

you can legally adopt if your husband is Hindu. You can get legal guardianship if you are not Hindus.

Please contact a local adoption agency for more info. Good luck -- I hope you get your child and can complete your family.

we have one natural child and one adopted. Its certainly legally permissible, provided you adopt a chilf of the opposite sex from the one you have.

I am born and brought up in India and currently hold US citizenship. We
have a biological child and would like to adopt a infant from India. I
contacted various agencies in India but have recieved a very poor response so far. They either tell us that Kasturba Stri Vikas Gruh in Jamnagar, Gujarat. But they told me that it is against their policy to give a child for adoption to couple with a
biological child or they are inclined to give children to Indian residents only.

This is very disappointing and will surely appreciate any help possible.

Does any one know the name of Indian agencies that will let us do this?

Please do not use though un-intentional the word natural for biological child. It hints unnatural for adopted children.
