Open Pores on Face >>>
Q: I am applying a mixture of Turmeric powder, Sandle wood powder and Almond oil daily, Following a soap cleaning when I have the daily body wash after office. Is it good to use this mixture every day? Kumari (Haryana, India) |
A: Yes, you can do this everyday. However, if you feel that you are getting pimples on your back, you can stop using the almond oil everyday. If it suits you, then carry on. Your skin will get really soft and smooth, and will be well moisturised. However, almond oil may be too thick to penetrate skin, unless you are in the shower, and your pores are already open due to steam. |

Q: I have lots of open pores on my cheeks, chin, forehead, nose. what should i do? Dinesh (Surat, India) |
A: There is really no permanent remedy for open pores. Toner tightens pores temporarily, so make it a point to apply toner regularly, after cleansing. Also, wash your face with cold water. Apply foundation to hide open pores. Use a good quality foundation with sunscreen. Foundation is actually beneficial for the skin, because it acts like a protective layer between your face and the elements. This is the best way that you can conceal open pores. Wash off the foundation as soon as you reach home with face wash, and follow up with toner. Clean and Clear is a good face wash for oily skin. Also, open pores on your nose may mean that you have a tendency to develop blackheads. If this is the case, get your blackheads removed reguarly with the help of blackhead removal strips. Using a face scrub on your nose daily helps prevent the formation of blackheads. |

Q: Hi i have oily skin and i want my skin fair and smooth plz tell me how can i do and i have open pours too plz tell how i can solv my problem. Sara (Mumbai, UAE
) |
A: Wash your face with a face wash suitable for oily skin like Clean and Clear, 2 or 3 times a day. Then, make sure you follow up with Clean and Clear toner. Skip applying moisturiser for now until your skin clears, unless you know what moisturiser suits you. Certain moisturising lotions may not suit you, so you will have to experiment to find a moisturiser that doesn't cause more pimples. When you buy a moisturiser, check the date of manufacture and don't buy an old one, and go in for oil-free moisturiser. Drink at least 10 to 12 glasses of water a day. Read this article: Pimple SOS |

A: Make it a point to wear a sunscreen or foundation with an in-built sunscreen before venturing out in the mornings or afternoons. Everyday, apply a mixture of a few drops of cucumber juice and lemon to your face. Wash off after ten minutes. You will notice the difference in your complexion after a few days |
Q: I have lot of open pores in my face...please suggest a home remedy for it. Omika (Pune, India) |
A: Instead of chapstick try applying a lip balm or Vaseline. Alternatively, you could apply cold cream on your lips at night, before going to sleep. If you keep applying chapstick, your lips tend to feel even drier as the chapstick wears off. Apply a good quality lipstick before venturing out, to keep your lips moisturised. |
