hi all,
my daughter is 98 days old today 14/10/2008
i have just started wid porridge..(just 60 ml in thin milky flow)
apart from dis i also give her lactogen at nite so that she sleeps at a strech atleast for 4 hours.but after every feed ( she is on breast feeding), she plays for almost just 20mins and again cries for milk...can i start giving her some other food?
plz advice me on wat all foods to give her, can i give her juice or something? a friend of mine started giving her son cerelac at 4 months.
wat is the rite time to start all that?? which is better cerelac or nestum?
wat else can i give her and when can i start other foods? kindly advice plz....

Hello,
I agree with Sudha, you should not be starting solids so soon, PLZ consult with your doctor and only under his guidance change the feeding pattern

ur daughter is too young to start solids u MUST wait for a min of 4mnths to start my son is 5mnth and i still havent started solids
their guts r virgin guts which needs to b closed and ready for processing complex food give it time.. dont follow what others r doing ask ur paeds ..or wait for ur daughter to gv u signals that she is ready to start solids
as far as commercial all r a no no for all modern paedetric , food cooked at home is the best ..cerelac contains high amount of hidden glucose hence it tends to dev a sweet tooth in children
min of 6mnth of exclusive BF is required untill n unless u hv some prob or u hv to join bk ...
so plz wait gv her some time
