My son ishaan is 13 months old Whenever we give him milk his stool gets hard and has diffuclty in doing it Some time he dosent urinate for two to three days Please advice imediately

Agree with Rekha. Some babies are just more constipated than others. So passing hard stool is not too much of a problem. But, not passing urine every three to four hours is ALARMING. Please talk to your pediatrician. Maybe he is allergic to milk, in which case the doc can prescribe a soy based formula / milk for him. Or if he only allergic to milk and not dairy, you could give him cheese and yoghurt in stead.

hi shilpa, if your child is not drinking milk, try other liquids - such as water w/ sugar or juice. When giving milk - try 2% or..most importantly boil the milk and make sure the milk is warm when giving it to your child..i hope this helps!

Shilpa,

Baby not passing urine for 2 -3 days is v bad..take him to paediatrician immediately..they shd pass urine every 3-4 hours and in case of summer they may take longer time..once my baby was not keeping well and did not pass urine for entire day and i was told by doc if she doesnt then they may put her on drips..call / meet ur doc immediately..
