children are always fussy about food they should be given proper nutritous and hygienic food as this is their developing stage of brain and body. Green vegies, milk, meat, eggs should be included in proper proportions.

Taking care of child’s eating habits is very important from childhood. A child should not snack too because that might cause indigestion and lead to stomach problems. Giving small meals in time intervals is the best way to take control of child’s diet.

Have a proper timing for eating and include many small food intake in time intervals. Stop keeping junks at home. Fruits are best for these stuff. Try doing this . It should help.

All the best.

My son is 7 years old. I give him a heavy breakfast in the morning but he feels hungry just an hour or so after breakfast. I then sometimes give him a fruit. He still feels hungry and as I do not have much of an option I give him biscuits or cakes or similar junk foods. So by the lunch time, he has eaten much of junk. Is this normal or should I stop his in between snacks.

It is indeed a difficult situation for you. I would suggest you to give him more in breakfast , something that is wholesome and nutritious, that will be filling. some breakfast options are vegetable parathas, veg.upma, idli or dosa. For mid morning snack, you can have some healthy options like milk, fruits, healthy snack options like sandwiches. Occasional indulgences are like a treat to the kids so they are not to be worried about.

I am a very concerned mother. I always make sure that my kids have healthy foods or snacks. sometimes a little bit of indulgence is good but I always make sure they have healthy food options available at home. There are always interesting healthy snacks available for my kids so that they do not resort to eating junk. Making healthy food interesting is the best way to make them eat it.
