are u all planning on saving cord blood ? it is pretty expensive $2150 at the time of collection and yearly $125 till 18 y [these rates are for Cord Blood Registry service in the USA ].
I don' t know how helpful it is going to be, i am little confused. Let me know what are your views.

i' m based in bangalore and have decided to opt for cord blood banking coz my mother-in-law just got done with her treatment for 3rd stage cancer.. since the disease does run in the family i really dont want to take any chances..

if there is a known history of serious disease in the family, then it is better to take this precaution.. you never know.. someday it may come of extreme use..

u really need to check with both your hubby' s side of the family and your side of the family for any major illnesses which can be genetic.. think about it..
