hey everybody , thanks for responding so promptly,
i did try some of the things mentioned and im having great relief now, becoz of the swelling i use to find my legs very heavy to lift slight pain while walking which use to discourage me from walking and in return i use to have increased swelling due to poor activity and poor circulation,
anyways thank you all, all the best.

Hi Tej ,

I also had swelling in my ankles.Practicing the following helped me immensely:
1.Increase fluid intake.
2.Raise your feet whenever you sit.
3.Take walks.
4.Have coconut water.
5.Limit ( not reduce ) salt intake
6.Keep a pillow under your feet when you sleep.
7.Sleep on your left as much as possible.

Also , please check your BP.

Lots of love and luck,
Sheetal.

Hi Tej,

yup..... its all a part n parcel dat comes along wit d happiness.... :)

I wud b completing my 6th month soon... my feet hv been swelling for the past 1 month now n its only getting worse.... cut down on ur salt intake, ur legs will usually swell arnd eve' s more after a days work.... but don worry its normal...... keep a chk on ur BP feet swelling is also a sign of high BP so jus keep a track.... Rest frequently during the day n keep ur feet elevated while sitting use a stool or while sleeping keep some pillows under ur feet....
n yes drink water, which helps flush the body and reduce water retention.

For now my bp is fine but my feet still swell... as ur baby grows bigger the growing uterus puts pressure on your pelvic veins, The pressure slows the return of blood from your legs, causing it to pool, which forces fluid from your veins into the tissues of your feet and ankles.

So don worry gurl almost 80% women go thru swollen feet during pregnancy....

Luv to u n d baby... :)
Saba
