Subject:  Rituals of Good Friday

Good Friday rituals start the preceding Thursday, wherein a feast symbolizing the last supper of Jesus is held. The end of this meal marks the beginning of fast for Easter. It is a day of mourning so some people also wear black and move in a procession for a ceremonial burial. Meditation and scripture readings are done in churches.

Good Friday is a very holy day for Christians all over the world. Good Friday celebrations are subdued. It is observed with hymns, thanks giving prayers and remembering the suffering and crucifiction of Christ. The death of Christ on the cross is an important event for Christians.

Subject:  Good Friday Significance

For all Christians, Good Friday is a day of fasting, prayer and repentance. It is observed on the Friday before Easter Sunday. It is not a day of celebration but an occasion to remember the suffering and death of Lord Jesus, who was crucified.
