Infertility Solutions:Is IUI painful?
2008-12-01
Name: anu
Dear friends
Just wanted to get your feedback on this topic. Those who have already gone through the procedure of IUI can you please let me know whether this process is a simple one or is it very painful and complicated?
Do you need to take full bed rest for weeks or so after that?
I have been suggested for my first cycle of IUI this month and now really scared :(
Can you share some of your experiences here regarding IUI? Please....

So what would you share your opinion about that because you have posted this posting some years back and now you have to say or suggest the people of today's generation about IUI and IVF also. I think you would comment on this

So you want to know about the infertility centers then you need to check for twice or thrice about the doctor and the hospital because we cannot trust anyone also these days.

Subject:  My IUI Experience
Hi! My IUI was scheduled this month and was done yesterday. I was so much scared and I read all your posts almost daily. I want to thank you all for increasing my courage before I share my experience.
It was very easy and painless process. I felt 0 pain and was done in half minute..yes..can you believe it? and lay down for 10 min... I will say, vaginal sonography is more uncomfortable. It was not even the pain we have while we take injection. Mine was done at Pulse Hospital, Ahmedabad. I think they have latest technology and very expert experienced doctors, I am still surprised, I could not even feel cathetor in..Thank you Dr. Sandeep Shah. I recommend this hospital to all. So, girls, don' t see pics of speculum and catheter on google, not watch animation video, it will scare you.. The IUI is totally painless. I have 2ww and hope to get BFP, but I am ready for next cycle of IUI as it is soooo easy!
Good luck to all!

I have been through 1 cycle of IUI and it is not at all painful. it is a simple procedure that takes 10 mins, so dont be afraid. after the procedure, you will be advised 10-15 mins rest after which you will be able to walk around and do your work as normal. I infact even went back to work after my IUI was done. there may be mild cramping if at all.
all the best, when is your IUI scheduled.
