Body and Fitness:Exercise to reduce Thighs?sandhya pls help

Hi Sandhya and friends,
I have started losing wt after dieting and exercise but the fat in my thighs have reduced very little.My main problem is my thighs.Specially the outer thighs(on sides where your hands(palms) touch when you stand straight).I dont like jogging or running.apart from this please suggest me any exercise ,i would be glad to do.Thankyou so much.

jyoti, what kind of exercises are you doing to get rid of weight everywhere but the thighs? alright, to reduce weight anywhere in the body, we have to make the muscles work in that area. Guess, you already know about this. Since you don' t like walking or running, therein lies your problem b' cos you are not working the muscles in your thighs properly and hence bulkier thighs. Try swimming, very fast walking, climbing stairs, skiing(if available), rock climbing, skating etc.. to try compensating for the lack of cardio workout in your excersise regimen. Hope it works.

Jyoti,
The reason you get sagging tummy is when you lose weight way faster than your skin to recover in that time. Loss of collagen causes a sagging tummy too. Remember all that extra work your skin did when you got pregnant by stretching so much to accomodate your growing baby. Well, it will sag unless you are someone with the greatest collagen levels. Skin is only exterior. I would recommend you to concentrate on the internal more. Concentrate on your strengthening your stomach muscles by doing stomach crunches, situps etc.. If you are truly unhappy with your sagging skin then there is no other cure than going under the blade of a plastic surgeon to get it fixed. Hope this helps.

hello jyothi, walking upstair can help u. daily aim at 150 to 200 steps up for about 2 times. that will firm ur thighs and legs.

could u please suggest me the diet u followed and exercises u did, coz i need to reduce my weight for atleast 10 kgs.

Hi Sandy,
I have divided my food to 6 times and each main meal like Bfast,Lunch,Dinner.
I have 300 kcal of Each main meal.Have Bfast like oat meal.I have started eating brocolli for Lunch and Dinner along with chapathi.I have stopped eating rice.Eat light meals during night time.Have light snacks in between.I exercise 1 hour daily in my gym.I walk for about 30 mins and dow eights another 30 mins.
I suggest you to talk to your dietician befor you start this.Eat light and exercise more,that is the mantra.Good Luck.
