It is very important to be careful when pregnant because a little mistake can lead to big problems. Self medication should be avoided at any cost as it could be dangerous for the developing baby. Many medicines may seem safe but actually may not be safe so it is best to consult a doctor. Also it is very important to have the right dosage. More dose of the safe medicine could be risky for the baby. Even home remedies are not safe so should be taken with care.

For common problems in pregnancy, it is best to rely on simple home remedies. Such remedies do not have much of side effects. For morning sickness, ginger is the best remedy as it prevents nausea. Having small frequent meals and eating soon after getting up from bed prevents giddiness and morning sickness symptoms. Similarly for cold and cough during pregnancy, ginger and basil juice with honey works out as best remedy. For fever also this is helpful. Crocin is also safe for fevers.

Hello when you meet your doctor during the pregnancy, he or she will suggest you some medicines and you can also ask if there are any alternatives to these medicines. The doctor will let you know the best possible medications which will benefit you and will be absolutely safe for you to take. You should inform the doctor if you already take any medications or are taking any supplements so that he can suggest medicines accordingly.

Hello all these are some medications recommended by the doctors to take during the pregnancy which are absolutely safe. If you have an allergy you can take Claritin or Benadryl in the first trimester. If you have cold and flu you can take Tylenol, saline nasal drops or a spray or simply gargle with warm water with salt in it.

There are certain medications which can cause serious effect or defect on the baby. Some medications like Thalidomide and Isotretinoin which should be avoided by pregnant women. Some of the medications are harmful and the side effects are unknown by us, so it is better to take medications under supervision.

Sometimes the effect of the medication also depends on the amount of dose taken or which medication is taken during pregnancy. If there are other health problems and their medications might affect the baby. Some women also take other medications like drugs and alcohol which affects the baby.

Hi the most important thing is to discuss everything with your doctor. Be sure to tell your doctor the truth and about all your medications which you take. The herbal or dietary supplements you take everything should be told. Also inform about the medications you are about to take or planning to take.
