Hetal replied. yup even my baby crawled for 10-12days only,,after that,,by 8th month,,she was standing, and in 3-4days she was walking with support holding wall....by the time she was 9.5months, she took her first steps,,and by 10months she was walking without support....it depends on babies legs as to how strong they are to bear the whole body weight...
walking straight depends on how you teach them,,at first steps you cant expect to walk straight,,,down the line after your baby starts to walk in a month or so,,by 1 year or so, they walk nicely,,as by then their thigh muscles and knees and all bones are well toned and jst right to carry the whole body wwght,,,make sure your baby doesnt get sore legs,,give a good massage on their legs before giving them good night sleep,,he will like it...after she stands for a good time say 5-10mins,,,hold her hands and teach her to walk...some babies who were heavy on the wght side, had lil bow legs, but they are not a worry, they go away for 18-32months,,when toddler body melts away all the extra fat and becomes a well toned body...
i think thats wat you meant by walking straight ???????
its quite normal for most babies to either :
learn crawling and standing together,,
or skip crawling and stand and then try to walk with support,,,
crawling is not an imp stage however, because babies who have skipped this phase, have crawled later in their lives, whenever the need arrsed..so not much worry..main milestones, head steady, sitting, standing, walking and then ofcourse others,,but these are mainly associated with physical limbs..! thats all you should be worried about !!!
Swati replied. Hi Ruby,
The same is the case of my 9 month old daughter. Till now, she only does swimming no crawling & tries to stand up taking support of any object near her. My pead says its normal to skip one stage...no worries..Be happy..
Happy parenting

hello jayashree
dont get afraid and dont loose hopes, your son is absolutely fine, and give him the proper tuition and avoid more playing periods of his, and you should teach him at home when you will get free time.... - praglabh [View Message]
