Hi Nandita.........

Diwali was good. My baby enjoyed all seven days vacation along with us at my parents place.

By the way did you started experimenting on your baby.

Lemme also tell you that this training on susu may not work 100 % all the time till the baby is one and half months old. But even if it works for 60 - 70 % time, how happy we parents are...

Also it do save lot of time required to clear the mess, wash the clothes, bedsheets and other maintenance.

Do inform me if this work, so that we can then help other parents on this.

all the best to the cute baby.

regards,

avinash

Hi Nandita,

Good.....Start it soon........ I have a 16 months old son and he is doing well.

When he was 6-7 months old my wife started few routines so that he get trained on susu.

For eg. Early morning ehen the baby wake-up or anytime when it wake up from sleep take the baby to basin and make a whistling noice like.su.....su.........

If this do not work, offer your baby to drink water in a small glass. My baby do his susu while drinking water.

Third thing you can do is start the tap of your washing basin. The baby follows the flow of tap water and urinates......Funny........but it works.

If you follow these routines regularly, he will automatically follow your instructions.

My baby is so used to this now, that even for his bowels movements he will call us, or stand near the toilet and shout.

all the best.....

regards,

avinash

Hi Nandita,

5 mnths is too early to even think of potty training a child.A child develops bladder control only after about 18 mnths. So there is no point even giving it a try earlier than that.It will just make you feel more frustrated.
