Hi,

I am not sure of the min haemoglobin level but my doctor called me yesterday and said that the blood count should be 35 and i am at 33 and she said i am anemic and she wants me to start iron supplements.

I was reading couple of articles on the web and i am posting those here. I think it is a common thing for pregnant women in their last trimester.

My doctor advised me to take those iron supplements with orange juice and not with any calcium products like milk.

Including meat, leafy green tofu,eggs,legumes, dried peas will improve the iron content.

Hello SJ,

Thanx very much for your valuable guidance. She was also advised follic and iron content tablets, she had completed. It had created gastric problem also. First gyne advised to stop iron content tablet (advised to take natural food like vegetables, green leaves, milk, dry frutis etc which are rich in iron contents), 2nd gyne advised to continue the tabs. We are bit confused. Thanks a lot for giving some imp web site addresses i'll visit them shortly.
