Thanks neeta & mala. I have started Desiree' on solid food . I am still brest feeding as i have alot of milk. SHE now sleeps at 11pm but then wakes up at 1am .My husband rocks her & then she goes back to sleep. & then wakes up at 5.30 for her next feed. I am glad that she jsut goes back to sleep with my husbands rocking but now i need to break this habit too. I also wanted to mention I have not given the bottle but have introduced her to the spoon & she takes it very well.so Ireally don't want ot give the bottle as it will be another habit to break! Also thank fo rthe advise of the bath .. I am doing that & I think it really helps. Thanks a lot.. anymoe sugestins are welcome.

Hi Wendy,
I was also breastfeeding my baby and still continuing. She also used to get up two times for feeding that gradually got reduced and now she sleeps continually. So I think its for few months only. After that she will sleep well. Now she is 9.5 months old. I have never given bottle and she now drinks from a cup.
regards

hi wendy,
try to give shower give shower to your baby late in the evening and also make him play a lot in the evening so that she will be tired and might go to sleep.when she wakes up in the night try to make her sleep again ofcourse it is hard but igf you teach her that she will learn sleeping through out the night.
i think you can also give bottle for once it doesnot harm you or your baby.infact she also must get used to bottle.otherwise she might not learn afterwards when you cannot give
keep in toich bye

Subject:  Try bottle for nightfeed

Hi,
My baby is also 5 mths old. I am also a breastfeeding mum and I have started solids to my baby. Although I breastfeed him whole day I give him bottle at night at 8 o'clock. He also wakes up at 3.30 at night and then getsup at 8o;clock in the morning. So there is no harm in using one bottlefeed when baby becomes 5 mths old. If you are not producing enough milk it is better to start giving bottle at least once in a day and later you can move that feed on solids. Goodluck!
