Hi Everyone I am a new member in this website and my due is also in April.I would love to join your discussions.I am having a small question if anyone can help me it would be great. I had my sonogram in my last appointment and after that all my friends told me to look in the chinese calender to know the sex and they said that is 99% true but we got the opposite answer of the sex of what doctor told us in calender calender. We dont understand which answer to beleive.My doctor said that she is 95% sure and she told she cannt give a 100% surity.We are totally confused to whom to beleive.If anyone can help me it would be great and appreciated.Thanks.Bye

Feel Free to write to us. I fully agree with Shalu's opinion. U should belive Doctor than Chinese calender. Any way this is ur first baby, Iam sure u won't be much bothered abt the sex of Baby.

First Welcome to the group.

If I were you I would believe the doctor than the chinese thingy...but thats just me...

Also, it is notable that if the doctor says that its a boy there is a very high probability that its a boy, but if doctor says girl, there is a change that it may be a boy. Now you would ask why?
OK I will try to explain. Doctors determine the sex of the baby by looking at the genital of the fetus. If they say its a boy, probably they have seen the male genitals in the sonogram which you cannot make up in the sonogram. But if the doctor says that its a girl it is possible that the doctors might have missed the genitals or the genitals are hidden or something....I hope this makes sense...I might be wrong though...
