To start with, am a south Indian male from Tamilnadu with slight dark complexion.
A small patch (1.5cm) appeared on my right cheek when i was 23yrs old. over the past 3 years this patch eventually grew darker with high hair growth in that area. Seeked help of a dermatologist, she diagnosed it as Hyperpigmentation. Suggested me not to go out in sun as this would worsen the patch & use a sunscreen if needed. she prescribed to use a cream ( A Ret HC) to apply over the patch before sleeping. I am using it for some time and find very slow improvement ( patch turning into light color when compared to earlier). when required to go out in sun, am using sun screen Ayur SPF 30.

Is there any permanent or quick resolution for this ? I heard of laser treatment, but i believe this would stop the hair growth permamently on that area( patch) and this patch covers an area of the beard growth. The beard growth is also slow or else i wud have grown a beard to camoflague this. I feel my confidence go down becuase of this small patch sticking on my cheeks like a grease. Can any one be of help in suggesting some remedy ? Thanks in Advance.
