HI , I AM SREEVNIVAS IYENGAR , 32 , FROM BANGALORE,BELONGS TO ORTHODOX TAMIL BRAHMAN ,MY GRAND FATHER & FATHER ARE TEMPLE PRIESTS .I AM MBA GRADUATE ,WORKING IN PRESTIGIOUS COMPANY .EVEN I HELPING FAMILY IN POOJA & PUROOHITHY PROGRRAMMES AS PART TIME PROFESSION .NOW MY GRANDPA WANTS ME TO CONTINUE OUR PROFESSION WITH TRADITIONAL WAY . HE WANTS ME TO SHAVE MY HEAD & KEEP TUFT(KUDUMI/CHOTI/PILAKA)AND REGULAR HEAD SHAVE . I AM IN CONFUSION WAT TO DO . SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME

I think and i assume that you have worked hard to get where you are and you should continue according to your wish. If you are confused about what to do before you can't hurt your family then you can try finding a way in which you will be able to continue their tradition and also your job. In this way you will be able to keep them happy as well as yourself. Raj replied. It is important to have an identity of your own. If you are content with your present job and you have worked hard for it then you should explain your family that you respect their tradition but you are happy where you are and would like to continue that way. You can agree with them and continue the profession in the traditional way but make sure that you will be happy doing that and if not tell them and do what you think is better for you.
