Hi Everyone,
This has reference to my previous messages.
We are going to Tirupathi on 18th of this month and reach there on 19th. I am bald again.
I was bald in 2005 and 2009, this is my 3rd mottai.
In fact our annivarsary on 22nd, but there is heavy rush at hill top, we have decided to shave our heads on 20th only. I would put the update upon our return. Now I have inverted wedgecut, however, I have kept my long hair which was cut in Oct, this year and put that also in Kalyanakatta.

Manasa replied. Hi
As discussed in my previous mails, we have reached Tirupathi on 19th night and took a hotel room there. As we did not had our shower on 19th in train journey, I thought of having shower first, but since it is already 11 p.m., I did not had my shower and had our food and slept. We woke up at morning 04:30 a.m., and had our toilet, wake up the children and fresh up and went to the bus stand at 05:45 a.m., but we got the bus at around 06:45 and reached on to the hill to at 07:15.
First we visited the locker place and took locker which takes some 30 minutes, then we put our clothes into the locker and found if there is cleanliness in the nearby Kalyanakatta, but it was dirty. Then we reached to Kalayani choultri where they have 2 big kalyanakattas. When we reach to the line they said they are taking some break, hence had to wait in the que for 15 minutes, then we took 3 head shave coupons and two scissors coupons. Three one for me, one for my younger daughter and for my cousin, my husband and daughter did not shaved their heads. First I sat with my daughter she has very long hair and barber took very good care and shaved, my No. is different, but my husband requested him and paid some 100/- then barber agreed and shaved me. As this is the moment I am looking at, I myself bent my head and the barber put 2 mugs of water on my head and thoroughly massaged. My husband said that say Govinda, I said the same thing, barber also advised me to say Govindaaa, I repeated again. Barber gave a looong strong on my crown and gave another long strong again, half of my nape is bald now. he just lift my head and started shaving the front part. In the meanwhile, my hubby asked the barber to reverse shave my head, barber denied and said I will make it smooth don' t worry. after the shave is complete, he smoothen my head, but that was not that much of smooth as we are looking, then my hubby requested the barber to smooth once again, which he accepted and started reverse process and moved the razor all over. In a span of 5 minutes my head is like a stainless steel utensil. Very great feeling, then once I get up, my husband took me to the near by water tap and pour water on to my head to see the if there are any left overs. Nothing was there. After the bath, my hubby applied Chandan through out my gundu and it was sooo cold. Then we put Tiru namam and went for darshan. Afternoon we returned back to Tirupathi room and my husband gave me Oil malish on my head with pure coconut oil, Oh what a wonderful spa feeling. Now I am having boycut. Recently I shaved my nape from down part of the neck with razor upto 2 inches. very good feeling.

On 14th May you said that you would put the update on your return from Tirupati. As per that message you should have gone bald on 20th May. I am waiting to read your experience for the past 2 months. Still no message from you. By now you would have grown about an inch long hair allover. Do post your experience and your future plans.

Preeti replied. Dear Manasa
Very happy to learn that you will have your third mottai in Tirupathi. I have read your 2005 and 2009 experiences. Where are your from? Will you walk around bald or will you cover your head after mottai?
I have also done Tirupati mottai a few times and also did Venidaan in Prayag last year. I always like to keep a clippered boycut.
Since you had cut your long hair in Oct last and had an inverted wedge, I suggest you keep your hair a regular boycut like me. A clippered boycut is really nice - both for feeling and look. The added advantage is that you can have Tirupati mottai every two years as I am going to have.
Happy Tirupati mottai on 20th.

Dear Manasa
I am happy to know that after your May gundu, you are now having boycut. Good. Keep it up. As you might have seen my postings I am also having regular clipper boycut only.
How old is your younger daughter who got tonsured along with you? And how old is your elder daughter who did not shave?
For your boycut, did you get it cut with scissors or clippers? If you have not yet tried clippers on sides and back, do try it for a couple of times. It gives very great feeling. If the top hair is kept short (one to two inches), a clipper boy cut gives a superb look on women who like short hair.
When are you planning your next Tirupati gundu?
