Hi Dear, everybody,

Today I had my regular head shave with straight razor, shaving my head to bald leaving aside small portion of hair at the centre of the head, known as Shikha.

My family and society members were very much encouraging me for the act.

I am not going to cover my head with any of the head ger, like cap,scarf etc. No doubt, while travelling I will wear a cap, to protect from direct sun rays.

I am also feeling great about my bald head/shaven head.

Is anybody interested in getting head shave post your query on the site, I will reply.

so you had done head shave and you were happy for that can you share what was the reason behind of doing continuous mottai so that we too can know about that and it would be better if you share. amrut replied. hello girish,
shikha is not something your have to be ashamed of so it is fine and great that you are plainning on not covering it or being cautions about it, also you should wear cap without fail. nimisha replied. hello girish,
you should tie a scarf or handcraft chief on head, so it will protect your scalp portion from sun rasises, and its not harmful so you should maintain your health also. yogini replied. hello girish,
so many people like boys and office going person like to shave head in these days, they feel relax and comfortable after head shave, so its good that do whatever your mind says to you. Bindiya replied. Hi there are many people who like to go for a head shave these days. Even i had got it done one time which gave me a lot of satisfaction and happiness. It actually keeps you hygenic from all sort of hair issue Ashna replied. Hair basically are to protect your scalp that is your skin from the sun rays and all the harmful rays that come from the sun and since you have shaved your head you should tie a scarf or wear a cap without fail. Yesteday I had been to Gokarn on some audit work and went for kotiteertha snan and Lord Sri Mahabaleshwar darshan with rudrabhishekha.I had tonsure before snan and went for darshan.But barber reduced the shikha length just below one inch even though I had told nothing for reducing which was over five inch.I had completed my audit work also in the evening and came back to home night. My wife knowing that I had gone to temple not told anything and her behaviour is as usual. I think that she is improved is it? subray p hegde replied. Hi Girishji, Continuing to my messege dt 27-5-2014 I had gone to my house and my wife and daughter have surprised to see me with tonsured head with shikha left at the top which is with about 5 months long hair. They annoyed and told you have no other work and whenever opportunity is there going for headshave. From next time you get haircut in the house with neatly dressed for craff with one to one and half inch length at the top and half inch alround with neatly cut by scissors.My wife told she will call the barber to house for making such cuts. Please advise how to face in case she does so?

Today I got the opportunity to get my headshave by razor at one of my elderly relative' s house.Barber had come to their house to do headshave to 2 elderly persons there who will have razhorshave everytime since many many years i e from days of my memory.Barber had come there with two razhors and with few blade packets in his pocket as only elderly persons will get shave at house and rest will go to saloons for their haircut. As I was at their house then I saw this and those elderly persons asked me whether you will get haircut as they saw me with my hair growing for about one and half to two inch growth as I had headshave in March. Elderly persons and myself thought barber had bought all instruments for haircut like scissors,clippers,razhors.etc but deos not know he has brought only razhors and blade packets. I agreed and sat in front of the barber after 2 of the elderly persons' shaving is completed without knowing that which instrument he will use for haircut.He started rinsing the hair with water which is also required for both haircut by scissors and razhorshave.After that barber opened razhor staight away and inserted the half piece of blade,and told he has bought only razhors and will use razhor straight away and if not interested for such shave he has no alternative and I have to come to his saloon for haircut.As I am also interested in such shaving and no alternative left for me I nodded for start of the work. He started with due care and hair has started to fall after 2 months and slowly completed the work by 8-10 minutes and again and again gave reverse jerking of razhor and gave very shining gundu look to head. All persons in relatives house have asked for from how many days I am getting this type of headshave. Elderly persons appreciated and told other above mid-age male members to get such customs adopted for them also. Tommorrow I am going to my house and thinking what reaction I may get from my wife and daughter.Anyway unexpectedly I got tonsure. subray p hegde replied. I had tonsure on 24/03/2014 now that I had one month 8 days since tonsure today I had make up my mind to get tonsure as heat weather is persisting. My wife and daughter have told to get the haircut after a month that too with scissors and machine cut round the ears and back.Now again I faced difficulty to get my head full tonsure by razhor. Anybody have suggestions to convince them for full shave/tonsure subray p hegde replied. Thanks.Today due to summer and extreme heat and for last 2 months I had not have haircut I had been to get my haircut with informing my wife that I will get extreme short-cut like tonsure which she has not refused nor agreed.Hence I had been for haircut where due to extreme heat many people were asking either for full tonsure or extreme short cut like buzzing ful head by clippers. My turn came and I was also asked for buzzing or haircut. I told the barber to headshave by razor which he done within 5-6 minutes. When I returned my wife has not said anything except full simmercut is done and it will take at least one to one and half month for hair to grow.I think some improvement in approach is it? Thanks for replying.I belong to an orthodox brahmin family,my ancestors were getting headshave with shikha every time and they were regularly doing pujas,etc.Now I am also doing this with pure vegeterian food and no alcohols etc I am an auditor with chartered accountants group and regularly visiting bank branches for audit work.My mother was engouraging me for headshave and hence some years I used to get headshave but she expired 3 years back and for one year therefter I was getting razorshave with shikha at top. But now my wife telling for short haircut with min one inch at top as all my relatives.neighbours and colleagues are getting such haircuts which appears good.So it has become difficult to convince them though I like razorshave with shikha everytime
subray p hegde replied. From how many years you are getting razor headshave and how much old are you now? I also got such headshave for about 2years with full head shaved by razor except top for shikha which was around 6-8 inches long and tied most of the time. It was best and thrilling experience but my wife and daughters anooyed for such shave and hence now get haircutting for an inch at the top and clipper cut around 2 inch height round the bottom,still here and there i will get razor headshave once or teice a year. Please advise how to convince my family for razoshave everytime. subray p hegde replied. This is one of the best headshave. My wife is not allowing me to get the same headshave though some times i got such headshaves inspite of her objections. Please explain how to convince for such headshves
