Refer to my posting ' Our Venidaan' dated 10th Nov 2013.
Today I got my four and half year dream fulfilled - return to clipper boycut. Around 9 in the morning I and my daughter Ramya entered the barbershop which was crowded. Except for one girl of about 12 years all were gents. We had to wait for about an hour to get our turn. The girl had a grown out boy cut. The barber cut her hair to a nice boycut with scissors only.
First Ramya took the chair when our turn came. I told the barber to give her a marine crew cut - bald to about two inches above the ears all round and about half inch long on top. As the barber ran his electric clippers Ramya was beaming. It took him about 10 minutes to complete her cut. She looked cute with her pucca marine cut. Others giggled at her look and she giggled back happily. She later said that she would have this cut every month for this academic year i.e. till about May when she will have a clipper gundu. From Aug she will have a normal clipper boy cut like me.
Next I sat in the chair. In the two and half months since my Venidaan, I had grown about two inches hair all over. I told the barber clipper boy cut. With bare electric clippers he made my sides and back bald to about an inch above the ears. A nice dip in the back on the clippered hair line was also created. He trimmed the top hair neatly so that I can comb it. It looks very nice. I am so happy. I will keep this cut henceforth. Preeti replied. My 16 year old daughter Ramya today got her head a clipper gundu in barber shop. She had a marine cut every month since Jan and after April' s marine cut her hair had grown to about half inch allover. Today the barber shaved off the whole thing to a nice bald head with his electric clippers. A beaming Ramya is insistent that she will repeat this every two weeks till early August after which only she will start growing hair. Then, she will have a normal clipper boy cut only in November. Its a really wonderful experience.Barbers are very expert in giving short haircut than parlor girls.

I was keeping shoulder length hair, for a change, I opted for boycut and so I went nearby barbershop with my husband.Nobody was there except two barbers.We sat on different chairs same time and have undergone haircut.I asked barber to have four inches hair on top of head and one inches on side and backs..He cut to hair with scissors and the bottom with clippers..

Then he shavedthe sidelines..
