Hair Care:Painful licecombing scheduled

Name: MNT I am a 28 years old male living in vikroli mumbai. I live alone here since last 4 years and my family is in my native.i keep long hairs upto my waist and normally tie it in a pony or a plait or some time in a bun. Since last 1 month ihave been suffering with lice infection in my hair. As a stay alone i have no one to take care of it . So i discussed this with my neighbours daughter who is very close to me. She initally laughted at me, but then told me she will come next day afternoon. I wondered what she was goingto do. Next day she came in the afternoon and showed me the lice comb she had bought for me. She asked me tobring coconut oil bottle and sit facing my back to her. Sheopened myplait and started searching for nits in myhair by moving her fingers in my hair. After some time she oiled my hair heavily and started combing my hairs with lice come. She found many and handed over to me for killing. This continued for about 1 hour until no more lice were found in lice comb. Then she tied my hair in bun andasked me to clean my clothes and keep the comb. She told she will repeat this after 2 or 3 days so as to get rid of lice. I thanked her. I immediatly felt a huge relief by itching scalp. after another 2 sessions i got much relief. Atlast i thought i was free from lice. But again yesterday night i felt lot of itching and so went to her home to ask for licecombing. Her mother (my neighbouring aunt) opened the door and told me she had gone to some relatives place for 2 days. She also told me that her daughter had discussed my lice issue to her and she can do tomorrow morning for me if i dont mind. I smiled and she asked me to bring my lice comb and come to her house. Today even being sunday i woke early and had bath took the lice comb and went to her place,. She also followed the same routine as her daughter did but oiled my hair more heavily. Just finished 2 hour of lice combing from her. She had asked me not to wash my hair and come in afternoon when she and her 2 maids will make me sit in our common balcony or terrece and do harsh and painful licecoombing. Also asked me to buy 3 lice comb and bottle of castoroil which she will mix with coconut oil and apply in my hair before licecombing, just purchased licecombs and castoroil.

normally I am The one who reach first and wait for them. that day I was very late and so I quickly took all The stuff and sat on The balcony floor with my eyes closed so that I could avoid looking at the angry maids. but to my surprise they did not say any thing and started with their procedure. when I opened my eyes they had already divided my hairs in to 2 parts and were serching for nits by moving their fingers in my hairs. aunt was not their that day. they mix parachute coconut oil with castor oil for oiling my hairs. but I myself prefer only parachute coconut oil for daily oiling my hairs and only sometime prefer Sesa. The maids have now mixed with me well since I do not prefer interfering in their procedure. I quitly sit and obey what ever they say. may it be killing the lice they give or bending my head or sit in their desired position and keep quite even during very painful reverse licecombing. they have not tide any gajra in my hair but they just make fun by asking me to buy gajras and colour ful ribbons for my plait. I can not disclose their name.
its good you also have very long hairs. do you tie two folded plaits? which hair oil u use.? and which hair style u prefer.

Thanks for writing so soon MNT and in good description. The maids really take good care of you. Do they come to your house to pick u up or you meet them in the balcony. Does the aunt have hair like the maids. I use sour curd and coconut oil to get rid of lice. Ask the maids about it. Put sour curd in hair then heavy oiling later. Let me know what they say and if you refuse Sunday ritual do they force you to have Oiling session. What do u talk about with maids during oilingsession. Write soon and describe in detail. Thanks

Thanks for your post.
Normally i get ready and meet them in our balcony at 3:00 pm. Whoever comes first wait for some time for other. But once i was very late and both the maids came to my place and rang the doorbell. I opened the door and realised i was very late i quickly took all the stuff and went and sat on the balcony floor with my eyes closed.
Yes aunt has long hairs and she mostly wear bun. But her hairs are licefree.
I told the maids yesterday during licecombing about sour curd treatment and they told they will try that maybe next week.
during oiling and licecombing they normally talk to each other and also talk to me, sometime they handover the lice caught in the comb to me. They talk about my long hairs and also about lice.. They bend my head for proper licecombing. They also some time ask me to buy gajras for my hairs or tie ribbons on my two folded plaits.. just for fun.. I just keep quite and ignore them.
Initially they used to ask me various questions and i used to answer them..
Here are some of them with my ans.
Q- being a male why do you keep long hairs.
My ans- no one says that only females are allowed to keep long hairs. I love to keep long hairs so i kept.
Q- would you cut or shave if lice keep coming
My ans- no
Q- will you obey us if we will help you get rid of lice.
My ans- yes i will not interupt in any of your procedure.
Q- how did you got lice.
My ans- i dont know.. My be from my female colluges or friends.
Q- would you allow us to tie two folded plaits after your oiling and licecombing.
My ans- i have never tied two plaits, but i dont mind any hairstyle..so two folded plaits will be something new, you can tie it.

Since then they started tieing two folded plaits sometime.

How long are your hairs and do you oil them everyday.. ?? Lightly or heavily.??

Thanks for your posts..
both the maids are around 40 to 45 years of age. no aunts daughter do not join them now.. since the maids are taking care of my lice now..
Yes they massage my scalp (each part) lightly whenever the oil is poured after every 30 mins.. They rinse the remaining portion of hair with oil.. But no massage or rinsing is done during the last 30 mins.. Oil is poured heavily on each part and allowed to drip.. followed by final licecombing... The dripped oil is collected in an cup.. After braiding my hair, the oil collected in the cup is again applied on my scalp and plait/s. They prefer tieing my hairs in a single plait or two folded plaits behind ears.

How did you managed to get rid of lice..??

Dear Longhairlady
the two maids and aunty are regularly following the same ritual every sunday.. Sharp 3.00 pm they start and end at around 5 or 6 pm. I have been told to sit quitlely and obey them.. They follow the same ritual.. First half an hour of nit/lice picking and then dividing my hairs in to two parts right and left after heavy oiling and lice combing each part. Both the maids sit on my sides and with two seprate lice combs carry the painful lice combing for around 2 hrs. Oil is been poured in my hair ever half and hour. Finally after finishing the session my hairs are tied in a thick plait or sometime two plaits.
till now they have not done it forcefully but i obey them since i want to get rid of this bugs. I dont know if they too have lice in their hair but they have long hairs like me, oiled heavily tied in a neat plait and decorated with veni or bunch of gajras.
What abt u. Do you have lice in your hair..

Painful licepicking contd

Dear Longhairlady..

Thanks for your post.
Its been more than 5 weeks now i am going with this ritual of licecombing. Both the maids and neighbour aunt carrry the same procedure on every sunday. i have no lice in my hair now but they insist me to sit for the session to prevent lice coming back. They say its a good timepass of 2 hrs for them and i should continue this as an preventive measure if i want to keep long hairs. last sunday after licecombing for nearly 2 hrs they found only 2 louse and few nits in my long hairs.
They both have long hairs neatly oiled and tied in a plaite or bun.
No they have not tied gajras in my hair, but both of them wear that in their hairs. Both of them asked me once if i want to wear gajra. I refused.

lice combing by naighbour and her maids

I bought 3 licecombs and bottle of castor oil and was waiting for aunt to call me. At 3 pm she came along with her two maids and asked me to take the oil bottels and licecombs in our commen balcony. we all went there. First they sat on the floor and asked me sit in the middle. I did so.. then one of the maid opened my oiled bun and they divided my hairs in 3 parts and all 3 of them started nitpicking each part. They pulled the nits from the hairs so harshly. This continued for an hour.. Then aunty bought a small bowl and prepared a mixture of castor oil and coconut oil in it... I told her that my hairs are already heavily oiled.. She asked me to keep quite and let them do their work. I nodded my head... She then bent my head and poured the oil in my hairs. the oil was very sticky.. first aunt started lice combing me...after 15 mins she centre partisined and diveded my hairs in to 2 parts from centre.. One of the maid sat on my left side and other on right..each one holding one part left and right in their hands.then both of them took lice combs and started together lice combing there part.. This was very harsh and painful. Both were combing very fast and it was hurting because 2 licecombs were used together. This continued for almost 1 1/2 hr. Then one of the maid asked me to sit facing her and she inverted my hair from back to front and started inverted backward lice combing... That was the most painful.. After 1/2 hour they finished. Then one of the maid tied my hairs in a bun.. They told me to that they will continue this for 2 more sundays... I was surprise.. And went home... when i saw the mirror i was astonised to see my head shining like mirror...
