I am a 28 years old male living in vikroli mumbai. I live alone here since last 4 years and my family is in my native.i keep long hairs upto my waist and normally tie it in a pony or a plait or some time in a bun. Since last 1 month ihave been suffering with lice infection in my hair. As a stay alone i have no one to take care of it . So i discussed this with my neighbours daughter who is very close to me. She initally laughted at me, but then told me she will come next day afternoon. I wondered what she was goingto do. Next day she came in the afternoon and showed me the lice comb she had bought for me. She asked me tobring coconut oil bottle and sit facing my back to her. Sheopened myplait and started searching for nits in myhair by moving her fingers in my hair. After some time she oiled my hair heavily and started combing my hairs with lice come. She found many and handed over to me for killing. This continued for about 1 hour until no more lice were found in lice comb. Then she tied my hair in bun andasked me to clean my clothes and keep the comb. She told she will repeat this after 2 or 3 days so as to get rid of lice. I thanked her. I immediatly felt a huge relief by itching scalp. after another 2 sessions i got much relief. Atlast i thought i was free from lice. But again yesterday night i felt lot of itching and so went to her home to ask for licecombing. Her mother (my neighbouring aunt) opened the door and told me she had gone to some relatives place for 2 days. She also told me that her daughter had discussed my lice issue to her and she can do tomorrow morning for me if i dont mind. I smiled and she asked me to bring my lice comb and come to her house. Today even being sunday i woke early and had bath took the lice comb and went to her place,. She also followed the same routine as her daughter did but oiled my hair more heavily. Just finished 2 hour of lice combing from her. She had asked me not to wash my hair and come in afternoon when she and her 2 maids will make me sit in our common balcony or terrece and do harsh and painful licecoombing. Also asked me to buy 3 lice comb and bottle of castoroil which she will mix with coconut oil and apply in my hair before licecombing, just purchased licecombs and castoroil. Jiten replied. If your problem is quite major than trying showing it to a doctor and see what he can suggest about it. There are some shampoos and oils specially available for this and will help you get relief if you use them for a month. Priya replied. If you are comfortable with cutting your hair short you should do it because it will be much more helpful them combing your hair. Shaving your head would also be a good option if you are comfortable because then you can take care of your hair as it grows back. Minty replied. What they are doing is absolutely right but if you think that even after combing in every 2 day your problem is not being solved try consulting a hair specialist. He would surely have some medication for it and would solve the problem once and for all. Tia replied. The process your neighbor has done was correct method only but how long will you depend on others you need to do it daily on your own in the morning and evening because we have to make our works. seemahi replied. use liceill from mraket apply on hair and com lices will die. and it is very effective too. harsh combing doesn't needed. I am happy to know that your hair is grown again and you are oiling regular. What did aunty and the maids say about your shaved head. I hope they are oiling your hair again. Have you kept a maid for oiling routine. Do you still keep in touch with flower girl. My routine is going very well. I oil my hair daily now with the maids. My brother is doing fine. Thank you for asking. He has not cut his hair as our mother didn't want to cut his hair. He gets his hair oiled daily too and his hair is longer than shoulder length. We keep a pretty good routine. I need your advise again where my brother is concerned. My mother told me my brother will be having his sacred thread ceremony within a month for which he will need to get his nose and ears pierced for jewellery and long hair shaved only a part on top will be left and that too long so that is why his hair was not cut. He will be wearing women clothes too during ceremony. It is an old tradition and my brother has to take part in it. She advised me and the maids to oil his hair very heavily everyday and tie a long tight plait with middle parting everyday. And also start putting flowers in his hair everyday, so during ceremony he is used to it. She also said that he should start oiling my and both the maids hair too. How do I convince my brother of putting flowers in hair and oiling our hair. You like flowers in your hair so I ask for your advise. And also to put jewellery in his ears and nose. Please reply soon. am using many shampoos but its no use and much hair will fall.unable to manage it.i have mid length hair. so suggest me.my mother suggest me go for any short haircut.is it helpful for rid of lice.which haircut will be helpfull.suggest me

Thanks longhairlady replied. Hi MNT, good to hear from you, it was a long trip. During yesterdays oiling session my maids were talking about you. They were just inquiring if you kept a maid or not as I had told them about the gajra girl and how how aunty and maids had gone to native. We all put on gajras yesterday and had a long plait. My brother is out of town for the past 1 week. He is coming next week. Before leaving he gave both maids some money as a gift as he was happy with how his hair had improved and almost no itcing. The maids were happy and me too to hear it. The maids bought gajras and combs and bangles and oil too with it. They even bought a red ribbon and when I asked why, they said its a surprise for my brother when gets back. They would not tell me and said wait for next oiling session with him. I wonder what the surprise is. Did aunty have a long and heavy oiling session with you after a month. Wow you got a whole jewelery set, what did aunty say after she put everything on for you. My oiling sessions with maids are going good. We even put castor oil with coconut oil yesstrerday. They said we will have a heavy oiling session once my brother co es back and will invite their 2 friends too. Any news of gajra girl and talk to aunty of finding a maid for you.
