Hair Care:Is it necessary??
2013-08-09
Name: Ayush Shankar

Hi!
I' m having a 2yr 11month daughter. Her hair is very soft and curly hair. So far we have never cut her hair but my mom says that it is mandatory for a girl to get her headshaved in a religious place at least once in a life time. More over she wants to shave our daughters head many more times so as to promote better hair growth. Is it true that hair grows better and thicker after headshave?
Please comment and help us out.. neither me and nor my wife are much interested in shaving her head but if it is good for our daughter then we are ready to proceed, please advice us and help us out.

Brother its a good idea and you should go ahead and have a head shaven done for your daughter as its completely safe and will not harm in any ways to the new growth.

Hi please dont have any negative thoughts on the same as your daughter is very young and a head shave will not look bad on it, also her new hair growth will also be good smooth and silky.

Hi Ayush my advice would be just ignore everything and just speak to your wife on this as its you both have to decide whether you want your daughters head shave or not.

Having a head shave done is very a common ritual followed in a Hindu family so just relax and go ahead its a good feeling and your daughter is not harmed by any means.

Hi Ayush the age what you have mentioned is ok if you head shave, please do not do after the age of three as that will not look good on your daughter.

Hi i think it should not be a major issue as your daughter is too young and its fine if she is head shaven. Also it would be good if the hair growth is more thick and strong in coming years.

Hi please do not consider this a bad thing or a ritual treat it as compulsory as the head shaving process is necessary for the first because it will allow for the hair to grow thick and it will make the hair more silky.
