The discoloration is a part of his skin, not underneath or on top, but it looks like patches. Its not little red bumps either. He doesnt have allergy to milk products, but I am wondering if I was putting to much haldi. It did help make the hair lighter, and i would like to continue something similar to the mixture to help the hair come lighter. The doctor gave him an oil based cream to help with the skin, and it might be dryness. I think it was dryness, because the cream is an oil based to help dryness.

Hetal replied. 1.5 year old which means he must be pretty much well on solids.i doubted to b the part of skin.
please note that the mix has nothing to do with skin pigmentation problem..it doesnt penetrate skin cells..so i m not worried about that.
also, haldi and all will at the most give dryness,,not enter the skin and discolour it !
considering your description of white spots, i doubt it as food allergy..it doubt on the basis of ayurveda formulation.
if you are aware, certain foods cannot be eaten with certain other food items,,like often its not advisable from ayurveda stand points to eat curd and garlic together, or ne citrus with curd together. also, yogurt and strawberry or ne milk liquids with ne citrus or sour frutis.
however, thre have been customary tradition of cooking opposites foods together, but since parents have been eating them from generations, those kids have shown pretty much good digesting those opposites,,which not b in your case..
surprsingly, things like carrots and milk cant be eaten raw together (cooking not a prob,it changes it chemical bonding ,making it safe to eat),,tomato with milk,,
may be your baby might have tasted something of it, and it caused him this.
please note this is ayurveda view point,,and its not necessary that your baby should be having same responses to the foods like yours...it might be different,,he has his own body to react to certain food habits..my daugther cant eat mango, she gets heat rashes on her face in 2hours...i never had that, nor did ne one in my family !!
so its not necessary at all that our kids will react the same way, as we did...
now about our science,,this discolouration of skin is often because of many reasons,,is the skins light colour appear because of some toxins that might have gone in your baby digestive system, and might have caused to do so. other is,if you see these spots increasing, check with your dr. this mihght be jsut some sign of external fungal infection and wil go off with recommended creme by your dr.
also, to add that this might be sign of lack of nutrients like calcium, zinc and other minerals..include alot of calcium diet, fiber diet and mineral diet,,increase vegies esp greens and carrots,,and if its coz of lack nutritional values,,he should b able to recover in amonth or so.
also, drink plenty of fluids,,make sure his bowels are regular...
not all oil based cremes relives from dryness. some are made with oil based because the content/medication in it cannot go well with other base or cannot be prevented to keep it in the same effective levels,,making it only available with safer side.
since your baby hs shown the lighter hair, its great that the mix is working.you might continue that,,do it alternately or even after 3 days...nothing wrong.go slow.y you want to hurry.
continue with watever medication given by your dr,just make sure it doesnt worsen or increase to other parts of body.
