Dear Friends,

I will be grateful of you can share some advoce on the condition of my son (2 years 3 Months).

My son sometimes does not eat for 24-48 hours at a strech.He shuts his mouth toght, ur spits our if we apply coaxing to feed him.
Whatever little we are able to feed him ,he vomits out everything everything that he eats . This probelm has started since his 6-7months of age.

The doctor says that as long as there is decrease in his weight , I should not worry.

I even tried giving him variety.

Earlier , he used to atleast have my feed, But recently he has stopped doing that too.

What should we do ?

My son was chubby upto 1.5yrs old,now he is 3yrs old but he is not chubby anymore he does not want to eat meals,everytime he is not feeling hungry he will say no to meals .
His wt.right now is 15 kgs.

This is very common among fussy eating toddlers. my daughter too goes on without food for 4-5 days.But this doesnt harm them in anyway as long as they are not loosing wieght or underweight.
By 3 years of age they will start having a better sense of eating.

Keep offering thats our job. but dont panic if they dont eat . many many kids i know show this behaviour all the time. Sarah replied. If he is gaining weight adequately and he doesn' t eat for 1-2 days it should not be on any concern .its perfectly normal in kids .my son also does the same but he should be drinking normally during this time .However ,if he is not gaining weight enought or losign weight then it can be because of Gastroesophageal reflux .Does he vomit out because you force him to eat ?does he only vomit out during the particular 24-48 hours ?does he eat normally otherwise ?how much does he eat during a normal day ?
