You all may remember that I and my m-i-l started getting boycuts from Nov 2012. In her post Seema (30-11-2012) suggested \" a clipper head shave also by using hand operated clippers all over ur head\" . I and family gave a thought to it and asked ' why not?' . But parlours do not have hand clippers. So I and hubby went to barbershop this Sunday. The barber ran the hand operated clippers all over my head - first the big one and later the zero clippers. My head became sandpapery. I felt very nice. Thank you Seema for your suggestion. Being a women why did you cut your hair. I understand its difficult to maintain long hair, but its wonderful to keep long hair. I am a male, still i keep long hairs upto my waist.. I give sufficient time to maintain it, wash twice a week, daily oiling(very heavy) in morning and night followed by lice combing for 30 mins. washing and conditioning on sunday morning followed by drying and heavy oiling then afternoon sitting with maid for nitpicking and licecombing for almost 2 hrs. I had a repeat clipper gundu in May and started getting parlour boycut in early August. Today also I had my montly boycut.
As for Rachana, I got her a military cut in April - clippered bald high up - two inches above ears allround and about quarter inch on top. Everyone including herself giggled at her cute look. Anyway, she had sufficient hair when her classes stated. She is continuing to have clippered boycut like her brother.
This summer, it will be a family gundu again. Thereafter, Rachana and myself will start growing hair till Apr/May of 2018.
