hello mommies,
Yup,thats what the doctor mentioned luking at the baby\" photogenic baby\" ..hmmm now is it?

Well finally one of the most awaited day started off n alos continued to go n very well..Well I didnt have to wait much for the doc..hmm now when I went to the doctor,n when doc applied the gel on my tummy,the baby started to show off completely..Its was saying as though,\" hmm so u all r luking at me?Well U can see me properly,u can measure me also,I' ll help u out\" ..n the lil pie,waws showing off its tiny lil feet heart,hand face very clearly.Doctor was happy,he said,I' m Impressed,baby is really photogenic,its easily letting us check it..When the doctor focuused at it eyes,it came very near to the placenta n clearly n proudly showed off its big eyes:-)..Doctor was very nice,he was explaining evry lil minute details 2 me n hubby...n my baby was easily letting him do all that.The cutest part was,doctor showe me its tiny lil heart,its 4 chambers.N yup,doc also made me count my baby' s fingers n toes.Pretty small tiny hands n tiny legs.N the doc has given me,tiny legs photos.Its so sweet..Doc told I' m impressed by the baby,its grown properly n quite big now..waow:-)..(I' m still in 19th week 5 days,so evn doc thought baby wudnt be fully formed,but luking at its proper growth he was amazed...At the end he said,I give the baby full marks...The baby is doing 100percent allrite.. .n after the photo seesion was over,at last baby started giving side pose,as though it was telling,\" Ok,now as ur done with the front pose,I' ll show my side pose\" ..Hmmm quite photogenic.Doc also gave me,its big eyes photo..

I asked doctor,2 check for Downs syndrome,he did that too,n he said,no baby doesnt have this.He also checked the baby' s mouth 4m left side n rite side,2 see whether it has cleft palette or not.n no the baby doesnt has it eitheir...


The total result of my scan is that baby is doing allriet,its growth is normal,n its weight is 0326 grams n its fetal heart beat is 156 bpm...n my placenta is anterior..Anyways end result is the ultrasound was tooo god...n All My reports r NORMAL:-)yipeeeee..

n now the main part,As the baby was clearly showing off,I tried 2 luk at the sex of the baby,well I cudnt find out for sure.As I cudnt see the small penis,I thought its a baby girl....Yipeee ..But vidhu I have a tip,u know what I did,I while luking at the baby started telling\" oh hesz so cute.luk at his tiny legs....\" n after few mts doctor,was showing the heart of the baby n said \" luk at her heart\" ...So I felt its a baby girl...I got it indirectly 4m the doctor..Donno whether he told get me confused.But anyways Now I have a strong Gut feeling that its a baby \" GIRL\" ....so u 2 follow the same trick,try adreessing the baby as he or she then doc will say sumthing.Anyways u cant grab it on for sure,but atleast temporarily u can blv that....Now tho I' m dreaming that I have a baby girl:-)yipeeeeeeeeeee...I feel it is,coz it was so very photogenic...

hmmm acchha I wrote a loooooooot I guess abt the baby....Kya karein,when I start writing abt the baby I donno I keep on typing,it doesnt end....Anyways hope u all mommies enjoyed reading it:-)n all the best vidhu n ramya,do share ur ultrasound experience with us..

Just now read the post, it so amzing.... your view on evrything. All the mommies to be would have been surely thrilled. From your each expression I could really imagine how it would haev been for you! It' s so wonderful and your baby is truly lucky to have a amazing mommy. Congrats!!!. Your doctor seems to be so good. He took Special interest in explaining you everything. The person who took my U/S did not explain me anything. He did it as if he has to finish his work. I got to see the report only. Last one minute very fast he showed it is face, leg and heart. Nothing else. I couldn' t register anything in my mind. I too did not ask him many question. Mentioning the baby \" his or her\" very nice tip.Missed noticing what he mentioned. May be next time will try to notice. But have to wait for a very long time.
Daily I am seeing the calendar almost 10 times and counting the no. of day more again and again.

Thanks for njoying the experience:-).Well mommies,other than ramya n me,u all r above 20 weeks,so u mommies must be feeling the kicks..Kool.We r yet 2 reach that stage..n tummy still struck inside,may be I' ll show only after 22 weeks..(Now I' m showing,but not that preggie kinda tummy...That big bump on our tummy cumes I guess only when we r nearing the end of 6th month...hmm long wait)

Forgot 2 say one thing,as I' m still 19 week6 days,my due date wud be oct3rd.But doc said as ur baby is fully grown befor ethe 20th week,u can expect 2 deliver by septmeber end..Hmm atleast no waiting till october....Blv me mommies,one single day also, after or near the due date seems 2 be very very looooooooooooong....so now I' m kinda relived that its 1 week preponed:-)

richa-hmm 9th jun..thats pretty long wait,but till then u can prepare urself,what qsn u need 2 ask the doc n all that..I had posted a query in this sept.board asking all other mommies 2 let me know what do they normally do in their 19-20th week ultrasound,n blv me I got lotta information n idea 4m that..SSo u 2 read that post once,n u jot down what u need 2 ask doctor..hmm reagrding cleft palette...Thisz a small abnormality on or near the mouth of the baby,which makes the mouth luk lil twisted..Actually doctor while doing anamoly scan he will do it...WWhile he checks the face portion,he will check both side of the baby' s mouth.I came to know this,coz my doc explained this 2 me.May be ur doc also did it,as he didnt explain u didnt know.But anyways next time u ask him,2 check for this.n downs syndrome--actually Asian origin babies ,its very rare that they get it..But still as all other mommies had wrote that they had checked it,I thought I will ask my doc also...So u freely ask ur doctor 2 check for that..They have sum 4,5 criterias or points 2 check for the downs syndrome,n he will do accordingly...Anyways all the Best for u..n do let us know ur experience:-)

ramya-Sumhow I wanted 2 know,what baby I' m carrying,so I tricked..Anyways I cant be 100 percent sure on that.But yes,It gives me temporary relief:-)...

oh yeah,u shd ask the doctor the baby' s weight.Actually they by themselves measure n write it.But still go ahead n ask..also ask when si ur due date.I feel as u n me r just one day that side this side,ur due date wud be oct2nd(waow gandhi Jayanthi)..But anyways still ask the doc....Tomorrow I have an appointment with my gynaec..Shesz gona luk at the report ...n suggest.I' ll let u know abt it later.....

daisy--yes,daisy like u said,I have got a big treasure 4 my ultrasound...Actually doc gave me X ray version of the baby' s heart,feet,eyes...so Just cant keep it in my photo album.But surely theyre my sole treasure in my baby' s first treasure box:-)...anyways take care,n hey howsz ur baby name search going on?

rakhi---hey rakhi,how r u doing?yes,true,My first ultrasound at 6th week,I cudnt make out anything.In the sense it was more like a small cashew rather than baby.But now it alreday luks like a cutie pie...So 2day n yesterday just dreamt of my baby...Well I found out a funny nick name for her...Its Jhil Mil...Funny na?My hubby says see,my daughter wont like it..Anyways lets c.But now I address it like that:-)

so tht was a gr8 experience....i really enjoyed readin ur experience and wish tht all get good news from their next U/Ss too....I had my last one done in the 19th week but my doc didnt tell me much...by tht week i had started feeling the movements...n a day or 2 before the U/S was supposed to take place the movements had declined...so whn i went for my check-up i wasnt bothered about nething but just tht my babby is fine inside...didnt remember to ask nething on looking at the lil one.....ab my next U/S is gonna b in the 8th or 9th month...so still a long time to go...hey by the way...cn u help me with \" down syndrome & Cleft Palette\" not aware of them yet...wht r these terms used for,n if i hvnt checked them as yet,wht do u suggest me to do??? ramya replied. I think the cutest parts would have been tiny little fingers....In my last U/s when I saw baby' s tiny fingers we were so thrilled..they are so smaaalll

Good that you got tested for down syndrome also...though we are at very less risk..it is always better to get checked..

I am eagerly waiting for my U/S...this time I will ask my doctor baby' s weight and heart beat..
last time she showed me heart beat..but she did not measure it...

so when is your next appointment? Did you ask about TT injection??

ok then take good care of your self..
and dont look at your baby' s pictures too often..i know you will be tempted to see..but they say that \" maa ka nazar baby ko easily lag jaathi hein\" ..

touchwood, that everything is normal. seems like ur doc. also enjoyed doing ultrasound alongwith u guys.

big eyes!, baby really seems very photogenic. After reading this post, I imagined hw ultrasound mst have gone, as baby was giving every pose n showed her eyes when doc focused at those hahaha how cutieee.

so, u have got all the treasures frm ur ultrasound to keep as memories, big eyes photo, feet photo. good. so now ur photo album has started getting inputs. :-)

its sooooo good to read abt ur u/s experience!! hmmm..photogenic baby..has to be a girl then! wow! and u also got photos for the baby' s first album..good! i' m sure the tiny legs one must be the cutest one :) but the most important thing than anything else is that everything is fine and the baby is doing good. here, my doc or technician didnt tell me anything-weight,heartbeat etc. they just showed us the body parts-hands, feet, heart, face with all details etc and just said that everything is good.

haha..and ur tip is good too! like u said, u cant be sure but u definitely have a clue now.

u/s at this stage is a moment to cherish all ur life..ofcourse even the earlier one is also imp but that time we dont understand much of the things as the baby is too small that time. i' m sure u and ur hubby must' ve enjoyed each and every moment like we enjoyed reading every detail... :)
