hi friends,i have long and thin hair.i have been wearing it in a braid since childhood.because of this the site where i part hair has widened.also i lost lot of hair after coming to US.i would like to know if anyone can help me by telling me how to do a hairstyle at home in which the hair can be tied on top of head so that it does not pull down.any simple styles for long hair to do at home? thank you. anuradha replied. hi friend would you pls tell your hair length?you can always wear a bun with hair backcombed.dont wear a tight ponytail.it may damage your hair. nisha replied. hi friend,
if you are used to braids, why not try different types of braids to give you hair a new look? instead of having a part with these braid you can comb hair straight back or just put your part to the side. If you don't know how to do these braids you can learn from a book or a friend who does.
French braid- starts by taking strands from hair by top of head.
Fourstrand braid- variation of 3 strand
Fishtail braid- looks really pretty when you take small small strands.

Change your part to the side instead of middle. Keeping your part in the same area every time will make hair thin there. As for losing a lot of hair, are you using a very good shampoo? maybe you should change your shampoo. Also, every week treat your hair by applying egg white or curds. this will make your hair soft and silky. Have you tried a sophisticated french bun? this keeps the hair out of your way. Try it with and without part. if you think it will not be a nuisance- you can put your hair in a high ponytail. This looks very good for long hair and opens up your face.
