I AM 12 YEARS OLD. I HAVE BEEN GOING OUT IN THE SUN FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS WITHOUT SUNBLOCK AND NOW MY SKIN IS ABOUT 2 SHADES DARKER OR MORE. HOW COULD I GET RID OF THIS? AND I HAVE DARK ELBOWS KNEES AND NECK. HOW CAN YOU GET RID OF DARK MARKS ON MY LEGS AND PREVENT THEM FROM COMING BACK. You are just 12 years of age.Need not worry about your skin.But,its the right time to care about it!! As you are young,you should not go for lot of chemicals.You should use natural things! I suggest you to use cucumber and lime juice mixed together,rub it on your body in the morning.Then take bath after 10 mins.Cucumber soothes the tired and burnt skin,and lemon lightens the complexion.You can also add tomato and rosewater on alternate days to it.
On face you can also use almond and curd mixed together.Soak almond at night,remove the cover,make a paste of it(as required),and add curd to it.Apply for 15 mins,and rinse off with cold water.1. Mix 1 tsp of milk powder, 1 tsp of honey, 1 tsp of lemon juice, and ½ tsp of almond oil. Apply on effected area and wash off after 10-15 minutes. This pack helps bring shine to the skin and also removes tan. 2. Mix oatmeal with curd and tomato juice and apply on the face/neck. Keep it on for 20 minutes and then wash it off with cold water. It helps remove the tan and lightens the skin. 3. Applying turmeric powder along with limejuice removes the tan. Limejuice is natural bleach. 4. Soak a few almonds overnight. Grind into a fine paste using milk and honey. Apply on face and neck and leave it overnight. Wash with cold water in the morning. Do this daily for 15 days, followed by twice a week. 5. A tbsp of gram flour mixed with 2 tsp of raw milk and 2-3 drops of lime juice works well for lightening dark skin. Apply this mixture and leave it for 15 minutes before washing off. Repeat for 4 weeks
For insect bite,you can aaply turmeric to it.
Hope this will help you! All the best!! marwamahmood replied. if the problem is related to only a few specific areas like elbows & knees , then you can try scrubbing it with lemon whenever you have a shower.
as well as make sure to cover those areas when you go out ie.wear pants & shirts with long sleeves etc so that its not too exposed to sunlight.

as far as dark marks from bites & cuts are concerned-well,first of all when you get a bite or cut , just don' t touch it & let it go by itself.or apply some ointment or cream if it hurts a lot.
second dark marks on your skin depends on your skin type.for some ppl the marks go away within a month or so by itself..for some they stay all the life.
i will try to find a homemade remedy for you ' cause i don' t like using chemicals a lot on skin.
i must have it somewhere with me.i' l just find out & reply within a few dayz.
