Name: Rajashree Dear All,

I just want to know how this Epidural is given? Is it an injection given in the spinal chord? Does it have any side effect? I've heard that sometimes it may lead to temporary paralyses or permanent back problem?

Please tell me.....

I took epidural for my first delivery . its a medicine which is administered in ur spinal chord at regular intervals, which blocks the pain of contractions. i did not have any side effects.it helped a lot to have a normal delivery
