Hello all

I confirmed my pregnancy on th 10th of june'06 with a home test kit aand it came out +ve.
i am curently in US........can anyone pls suggest when to start visiting the doctor as everyone tells me from INDIA that i should see the doctor only after i am done with 12 weeks of pregnancy..........

also i am not having any feeling of nausea and morning sickness........is this normal for a healthy pregnancy.......

Find good ob-gyn in mean time and shedule your appointment usually they will see you in 6/7 week they will shedule and will prescribe you prenatel and they will also give you blood work and will shedule your first ultrasound between your 8-10 weeks which is such an amazing feeling .take care
nausea will kick in if at all in a week or you will be in control its how your harmons acts no problem either way.

You are just in your 5th week. Sometimes, the nausea might hit much later. That's how it is for me. I was feeling fine and great, in fact, till my 6-7th week and then it started!!

Ewww! Its a terrible feeling and you are lucky that you do not have this discomfort.

It doesn't mean anything's wrong with you or your baby......some women just don't have nausea during pregnancy. I know a lot of my friends who didn;t.

So don;t worry so much abt it.

Call up your doctor, and see when they want you to come in. As long as you don't get your period, you are still very much pregnant, so enjoy your good health! Anu replied. Hi mk ,

Pls go & meet your dr 1st. Dr might wish to check if everything is normal like taking simple bloodtests for haemoglobin %, hCG levels test etc.

Also,Prenatal vitamins like folic acid are given normally from the 6th week of pregnancy itself & its very very important for your baby as it avoids many abnormalities as spinal bifidia etc.

& You are lucky not to have nausea or something.

You can call you doctor to take an appointment. In US they generally schedule it around 6-7 weeks, but still it depends...on the doctor.
You can start taking prenatal tabs, How many weeks are you at? You are lucky not having nausea etc. :)
