What was the first video game that you bought your child? Do you think that there is more hype given to games today than previously?

Although I am a gaming freak, I play many games but they all are violent games, which may have bad effect on our children.
So, when my son asked for a game , the first game he got from me was Super Mario Bros.
I thought he should be gifted with good games but then i thought this may affect his attitude so i started with Mario.

I read a lot of comments about how people should not buy these games for their children. I think we should give our children these games. Today, all are earning good salary and are able to afford things. You spend money on yourself in the form of clothes, jewellery and outings. So why not allow your child to enjoy himself as well.

I have read this article and have one thought. Are these consoles really required? They seem to be only for children of wealthy homes. I highly doubt that the average person can afford to buy any one of these for their children.

I agree with you. These consoles may look good but they are really not meant for kids. A console is only for hard core gamers who can afford the investment.

I' d like to say that these new gaming consoles are not just for kids. The depth and dimension of the visual spectacles are so intense that even an adult can enjoy them. Some of the games too are simply fantastic. I guarantee you that once your child is hooked on to them, it will stay that way.

The other day my son was asking my husband to buy him an Xbox. I went to the shop to enquire about it. Gosh! It is so expensive! We have decided not to give him one just yet since we are not sure how much he will actually use it once it is bought.

This article takes me back to the days when I was a child. That time, I begged my parents for a small video game but I never got my wish. Today' s kids have it all and still they get bored.

Assembled PCs are best as they cost less and are worth the money. Each part also has about 3 years warranty so basically it is a great deal. It will be good for games and high graphic settings. Assemble different parts.
