Dear Neha, Kirti, Arpita & Sri!

Its really good to know all of you and more relaxing that each of us are not the only ones to feel scared about visiting the Dr! Thanks for the support.

Neha: Hope your visit to the Dr was good. I just completed 8th week. My next visit to the Dr is next week. I am going to a Family Physician.

Talking about morning sickness - Thank God, so far i haven' t vomitted even once. The key to beat the morning sickness is (i feel) - to keep eating in small portions before you get the hunger pangs.

Also try having 3-4 crackers (ritz or any salt cracker) early in the morning before you hit the day. This has helped me a lot. I got this tip from the website what to expect and their book. Try to get a copy of that book and read to familiarise yourself of wht you can expect.

Ofcourse, my husband says that i feel to have all of the symptoms described in the book after reading the book! Otherwise i am much normal except the knowledge that i a little one growing inside me- LOL. Also, the book is very helpful for first timers like us - as to wht to ask the Dr ?

And finally - trust in God is the most imp key to everything. He is the creator of us and as well as the one inside us. So He knows how to take care of us - isn' t it?

dear Nidhi,

Congrats! As Sri has mentioned. There is nothing to worry at all. If you are going to a Family Physician, he/she will discuss with you and your husband about pregnancy and general diet you take. Also she will take a blood test. Some drs prefer to postpone the pap smear and just do a simple physical examination. Nothing to fear of.

Relax and keep chanting god' s name.

Hi Nidhi

First of all congrats...
There is nothing to get scared..
The doctor will just confirm your pregnancy.
Generally the doctor may do a trans vaginal ultrasound.(It is totally painless..just relax)
The doctor may show you the baby sac and you may even hear the heatbeat (depends on the doctor).
For me the doctor did the above test and she also did urine test and blood test...(donno why)

Hope this helps
sri
