My friend was supposed to offer her hair last week but came here to US on an urgent trip. She won' t be going back in next 6 months. As I am travelling to India soon, she told me she may give her hair to me & asked me to give it to her parents so that they will drop the hair at the temple. I asked her if it is the right way to do it. She is going to check that out and will let me know. Also asked me to check that. I advised her to wait & get that done in India. She has some fears and want to get that done right away if she / me finds if it is OK.

Can someone advise me if that is the right way to do it?

Hi praveen, your friend can fulfill her vow by sending her hair with you to offer to the god the way dhoni did after winning the world cup in 2011 by sending his hair after shave to tirumala. Another example, there are no tonsuring halls in shirdi so people shave their heads in the barber shops and drop a bit in hundi to fulfill their vows.so your friend can also do the same and can lead a peaceful life after fulfilling her vows to the god.

Met her after long time & I had great time with her. She said on that day that she doesn´ t like just cutting some hair & sending it. She wanted to go for full tonsure. she also said she has to get that done following some procedure. so she decided on that day to do that in India when she goes back. To her surprise, she got a 2 year assignment in the city I am living. Her work in the current company ended on Friday & she will be joining here on 21st. There is a week´ s gap in between. She is working with her manager to see if she can go back to India & come here again as she didn´ t come prepared.
I proposed to her last night so that I can talk to her parents when I am in India. She said she needs some time & will let me know.
I am very anxious now about next few days. Hope everything works in my favour.
