hi all,
hope everyone is fine....i jus returned back from my appointment...am on to my 33rd week from today....

but i got a really bad news that i had gained only 100gms within 2 weeks...was shocked but they took the measurements and said that the baby's growth was normal...but anyways 100gms within 2 weeks is v low...

The doc asked me to take protein rich diet and not to adopt short cuts like adding ghee to increase weight...she also said that, as i had already gained above 11kgs since the beginning...there was nothing to worry as long as the baby is growing fine...but am a bit worried abt my weight gain...any advice on this?

then meenu, nice to know that u had a gr8 weekend.

here am waiting to c my hubby this coming weekend since it has been 2 weeks since we met....i think i will forget his face if i don see him atleast this weekend :)

and any of u girls facing probs sitting for a long time....gosh!!!my bacj jus aches....

Just relax about ur weight . As long as ur baby is growing fine , everything shud be fine . Yep & u shud eat a lot of protien & drink a lot of water to keep u hydrated.

How many weeks pregnant are you? when are you due . I am new to this website .

Good to hear frm u.
As Archie and ur doc said its not much to worry. Just eat right.
Try taking protein rich diet maybe eggs, beans, soya milk, soya beans, other stuff more in ur diet along with fresh fruits n vegggies...
Everything wud be perfectly normal...

It's normal what you are going through with weight. Do not get concerned so much. Especially when you gained more than 23 pounds so far.

Now onwared you should typically gain 1/2 to 3/4 pounds a week, weight gained by baby and not additional. Less weight gain or no gain for two -three weeks is nothing to be worried off. You will see as you reach near to delivery you may face a little fluid retention and see increase of weight, doesnot mean a good sign or bad. It's just that no gain may be due to just weight gained by baby and last time you may have had some fluid retention which is gone now and you should be happy about that.

I however want you to keep eye on your back pain. Backache is normal concern in third trimester, but make sure you don't get lower back pain for prolonged time. If you have lower back pain rest and see if that goes a way. Consistant lower back pain is a preterm sign. Not alarming just keeping you informed.

don't worry too much abt not gaining weight... until the baby is doing fine u shudn't be fretting much...just eat right..lots of fruits and fresh vegetables and have food on time and everything shud be alright...

U r lucky that u can see ur hubby atleast every two weeks...once i come home to India for delivery i'll be seeing my hubby only in December...can u believe that!! i don't know how i can go on without seing him or talking to him or just be with him..but i have to go through it..so cheer up! u r much better off :) !!
