I a mother of a 1.3 yrs old daughter..before she was born i was working in a NBFC.(BANKING) but after her birth i have stopped workin..nw that she is one yr old i wishto start workin again..m confused between the option of a maid or a day care to take care of my daughter..

i identify myself a lot with ur situation
me too was very tense abt how my 1 yr old son would do in day care. if he would be hurt by other kids and so forth
believe me, maids can do well but the best example of growing up is set really by the peers...today my son is 3+ and is far bolder and confident than ever...
What i think is u could first make your kid get accustomed of the people there, put her for jst a few hours say 2-3 hours for a month and then increase the duration...I did the same...
Knowing that she is happy there will give you a lot of relief and help u concentrate on your work life far better.

Hey Priyanka, good to know that u r planning to work again. taking a job alongwith being a mother adds to a bunch of responsibilities n dont forget the guilt feeling u wud always have that u r leaving ur little one everyday in the morning n when u come back in the evening u r so tired that u r unable to spend quality time with ur kid. My suggextion wud be to send ur daughter to a nice play school where not only the basic needs r taken care of rather she is engaged in learning new things. Maids can surely take care of the basic needs of a child but then u' d hardly see any growth in the learning curve of ur child. So now the decision is urs, u have to firstly settle ur child in a proper environment then think of working again. All the best in ur efforts n love to ur daughter
